The focus for this month's class is elements and principles of design. Starting with a reference photo, we identified various elements and then tried different cropping for a more effective composition. It was also pointed out that the ripples in the background water were too distracting and it was best to "soften" them for the focal point of seagulls. Background color was changed, too, in order to keep it from blending in with the bird feathers.
